The Social Health Authority (SHA) will commence nationwide negotiations with healthcare providers on April 28, 2026, to reform civil servants’ medical cover under the Public Officers Medical Scheme Fund (POMSF).

• The negotiations aim to establish new tariffs, refine service delivery, and streamline claims management to resolve recent disruptions in healthcare access for civil servants.
• Key stakeholders involved include the Ministry of Health, SHA, State Department for Public Service, Teachers Service Commission (TSC), various labor unions like KNUT and KUPPET, and other government bodies.
• In the interim, the SHA has temporarily withdrawn tariff locking to ensure no civil servant faces out-of-pocket costs, with strict directives against charging beneficiaries additional fees.
