President William Ruto has vowed to press on with the affordable housing project, dismissing opposition and promising to improve the lives of Kenyans in informal settlements.

The Kibera Soweto East Zone B Affordable Housing Project (AHP), costing Sh7.4 billion and over 80 per cent complete, will deliver 4,465 housing units.
The project aims to restore dignity, improve livelihoods, and create opportunities, with over 2,500 direct jobs generated locally.
President Ruto stated his Kenya Kwanza administration is building nearly 250,000 housing units nationwide, including 100,000 in Nairobi.
