Kenya's Minister for Labour, Dr. Alfred Mutua, announced that the government has created a total of 6.2 million jobs during Labour Day celebrations in Vihiga County.

• A significant portion of these jobs, 1.89 million, are in the public service.
• The Ministry of Labour, under CS Mutua, also highlighted progress in efficient pension payments, with plans for NSSF claims to be processed within 24 hours starting next year.
• Other sectors contributing to job creation include the digital economy (316,806 jobs) and housing (640,442 jobs).
