Siaya Governor James Orengo was disrupted and forced to leave a funeral ceremony in Seme on Saturday following heckling and confrontation from a section of youths.

• The burial of Mzee Nyikal Okaka, father of Seme Member of Parliament Dr James Nyikal, was marred by political clashes between rival ODM factions: Linda Mwananchi and Linda Ground.
• Governor Orengo condemned the incident, accusing the State of sponsoring violence and political intolerance.
• Other leaders, including ODM chair Gladys Wanga and Kisumu Woman Representative Ruth Odinga, expressed outrage and condemned the "organized chaos."
