Basic Education Principal Secretary Julius Bitok has revealed that approvals for fee increases at Alliance Girls High School were halted about two years ago. The school has since been implementing fee hikes without authorization, exceeding the Ministry’s cap.

The unauthorized fee increase reached over Ksh120,000, significantly higher than the standard Ksh53,000 for senior school.
The Ministry of Education, alerted by parent complaints, is investigating the unauthorized charges.
The school’s Principal has been issued a show-cause letter by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) following an investigation that found additional fees were imposed without official approval.
