Monsignor Obed Muriungi Karobia was ordained an Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Nairobi by the Apostolic Nuncio to Kenya, Hubertus Van Megen, at the Holy Family Minor Basilica Catholic Church.

• Monsignor Obed Muriungi Karobia, aged 47, became the new Auxiliary Bishop.
• The ceremony also marked the farewell for Apostolic Nuncio Hubertus Van Megen, who is being sent to Germany.
• Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Obed, a member of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual, on March 26, 2026.
