Kenya has launched its first national study on disability-inclusive early childhood development, a crucial step expected to improve access to essential services for children with disabilities.

• The study aims to address the challenges facing over 1.3 million children under eight who lack access to vital services.
• Spearheaded by The Action Foundation (TAF), in collaboration with government agencies and research institutions.
• The findings will inform policy and resource allocation for the Disability-Inclusive Early Childhood Development (DIECD) programme running from 2025 to 2030.
