• Total driving licences issued rose by 15.5% to 1.95 million in 2025, up from 1.69 million in 2024.
• The NTSA, in its 2026 Economic Survey Report, noted a sharp growth in original driving licences issued to new drivers.
• Public Service Vehicle (PSV) licences also increased by 12.1% to 67,569 in 2025, indicating expansion in the transport sector, though some vehicle categories saw a decline.
