TikTok has rolled back its experimental AI-generated video descriptions after they produced a series of bizarre and inaccurate summaries for users in the US and the Philippines.

• The feature, known as 'AI Overviews', incorrectly described content, including mistaking celebrity Charli D’Amelio for a "collection of various blueberries with different toppings".
• TikTok has stated the AI summaries will now be limited to suggesting similar products shown in videos.
• Some users speculated the inaccuracies were intentional, with one comedy skit being described as someone "demonstrating a new, clever technique for cutting through water".
