A French national repatriated from the cruise ship MV Hondius, which experienced a hantavirus outbreak, has shown symptoms of the disease upon arrival in France.

• Three passengers have died, with two confirmed cases of hantavirus.
• French, Spanish, British, Dutch, and American nationals are among those being evacuated and quarantined.
• Passengers are being placed in strict isolation for varying periods, including 72 hours in hospital and up to 45 days of self-isolation.
