French shipping giant CMA CGM Group has signed a strategic partnership with the Government of Kenya to boost the country’s transport and logistics infrastructure.

• CMA CGM committed 700 million euros towards renovating two terminals at the Port of Mombasa.
• The agreement involves CMA CGM Group and the Government of Kenya, with the presence of President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron.
• The investment aims to upgrade port capacity, inland logistics, and freight management systems in Kenya and the wider East and Central African region, responding to rising maritime trade demands.
