The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has cancelled two significant tenders at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), impacting passenger processing and runway maintenance upgrades.

• The cancelled tenders include the procurement for Common Use Passenger Processing Systems (CUPPS) and Common Use Self-Service (CUSS) systems.
• These systems were intended to improve passenger check-in efficiency and allow airlines to share resources.
• A separate tender for runway rubber and paint removal was also cancelled, a critical airside maintenance activity.
