Kenya Airways and Rubis Energy Kenya have partnered to establish Africa's first dedicated sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) refinery in Nairobi. The Sh10.6 billion project aims to produce low-carbon jet fuel from local waste.

• The refinery will have a production capacity of 32,000 tonnes.
• Key organizations involved are Kenya Airways and Rubis Energy Kenya.
• The agreement was formalized in the presence of President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron during the Africa Forward Summit.
