Kenyan President William Ruto is actively seeking international backing for Supreme Court Judge Njoki Ndungu's bid to join the International Criminal Court (ICC).

• Mauritius and Botswana have pledged their support for Justice Ndung’u’s candidacy.
• The outreach was made during meetings with Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam and Botswana President Duma Boko on Wednesday at State House, Nairobi.
• President Ruto highlighted Justice Ndung’u's extensive legal expertise and integrity as key qualifications for the ICC role.
