The Nairobi Traffic Police Department is introducing a new registration system for boda boda operators to promote self-regulation within the industry.

• Every boda boda will be assigned a designated stage, ensuring riders are easily identifiable and accountable across counties.
• The system is spearheaded by Assistant Inspector General and Commandant of Traffic, Fredrick Ochieng.
• Riders will be required to possess protective gear, including helmets and reflective jackets, verified by stage chairpersons before registration is finalized.
