• Kenya has existing legal, regulatory, and administrative measures, including subsidiary regulations, industry guidelines, and the intervention of bodies like the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner and the Communications Authority of Kenya.
• The affirmations were made in response to a question from Nominated Senator Hamida Kibwana.
• The ministry plans to strengthen these protections by adopting international best practices and leveraging findings from an ongoing national survey on child protection, with a 24-hour reporting line (Child Helpline 116) also operational.
