Transport operators across Kenya are set to paralyze operations starting midnight Sunday in protest of the recent fuel price hike announced by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA).

The nationwide strike, organized by the Transport Sector Alliance, aims to highlight the worsened cost of living for Kenyans due to increased fuel costs.
Key demands include a reversal of the fuel price increase, standardization of kerosene prices, and a reduction of petrol and diesel prices to approximately Ksh 152 per litre.
The alliance is also calling for the resignation of the Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum and accountability for officials involved in the sale of substandard fuel.
