A new report from the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC) reveals that the global construction sector's decarbonisation efforts are lagging, making it a significant contributor to emissions and vulnerable to climate impacts.

The sector accounts for 37 per cent of global emissions, categorized as operational and embodied.
