The High Court in Embu has upheld the by-election win of Njeru Leo Wa Muthende of the UDA for Mbeere North Member of Parliament.

• The court dismissed a petition filed by DP’s Newton Kariuki Ndwiga challenging the results.
• While acknowledging isolated electoral irregularities, the court found they were not substantial enough to affect the election's outcome.
• Despite dismissing the petition, the court has forwarded a report to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) regarding suspected criminal electoral malpractices.
