The Strathmore University Swords concluded the first leg of the Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) Women’s Premier League with a victory over former champions USIU-A Flames, winning 74-66 at Nyayo Gymnasium.

• The Swords secured their win with a strong second-quarter performance, outscoring the Flames 29-20.
• Jacqueline Otieno led the Swords with 21 points, while Ninel Naserian was the top scorer for the Flames with 24 points.
• The USIU-A Flames experienced a tough weekend, also suffering a narrow defeat to Stanbic Aces on Saturday, impacting their chances of finishing in the top five.
