The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has issued a stern warning to political leaders, asserting that no one is above the law when it comes to inciting hate and threatening peace in Kenya.

• NCIC Chairperson Bishop Kepha Nyamweya stated that the commission will take action against any leader found culpable of threatening peace, regardless of their rank or prominence.
• The commission highlighted concerns over political intolerance, hate speech, and ethnic incitement, emphasizing that political influence does not grant immunity from accountability under the National Cohesion and Integration Act, 2008.
• NCIC also called on political parties to enforce internal discipline and hold their members responsible for actions that create toxic political environments, condemning disruptions of political meetings and online attacks.
