Police in Nyeri have arrested four girls suspected of setting fire to the Blessed Sister Irene Nyaatha Dormitory at St Paul’s Githakwa Secondary School on the night of May 26, 2026.

• The fire destroyed property belonging to 25 students.
• The suspects include three Form Four students and one Form Three student.
• The arson is believed to be linked to fears of upcoming end-term examinations, scheduled to begin on May 28, 2026.
