Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs Musalia Mudavadi has arrived in Seoul, South Korea, to attend the first standalone Korea-Africa Foreign Ministers’ Meeting from May 1st to 2nd June, 2026.
- Kenya, represented by Mudavadi, will present agenda items focusing on ICT and Education, among other areas, at the summit attended by representatives from 54 African countries and four regional organisations.
- Mudavadi, the leader of the Kenyan delegation, aims to deepen economic ties, diversify supply chains, and strengthen cooperation on global challenges, specifically seeking to boost market access for Kenyan products and address a trade imbalance favouring South Korea.
- The meeting, themed "Partnership for Joint Responses to Global Challenges," follows the inaugural Korea-Africa Summit held in June 2024 and includes participation from the African Union (AU), African Development Bank (AfDB), African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), and Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (AU CDC).
