Former Mwananchi Communications Limited (MCL) chairperson, Leonard Clement Mususa, has passed away at the age of 72. His family announced his death on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

• He was a respected figure in Tanzania's business, finance, and corporate governance sectors.
• Mususa also served as an Independent non-executive director for Nation Media Group (NMG) from 2015 to 2024.
• MCL publishes the newspapers Mwananchi, The Citizen, and Mwanaspoti.
