The National Land Commission is initiating compulsory land acquisition for the 750km Isiolo-Mandera Highway, a key component of the Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project (HoAGDP).

• The acquisition specifically targets a 77-kilometre section between Isiolo and Kulamawe, also for fibre optic cable installation.
• Affected landowners are invited to public inquiry sessions between June 23 and July 6, 2026.
• The HoAGDP project, funded by the World Bank, aims to boost regional connectivity and trade.
