Project management professionals are urging Kenya to improve the delivery of government projects following the presentation of a record Sh4.8 trillion budget for the 2026/27 financial year.

• The budget is Kenya's largest ever, with billions allocated to infrastructure, housing, healthcare, education, defence, and digital transformation.
• PMI Kenya Chapter President Maureen Mbithi Ochang highlighted that Kenya's challenge lies in execution rather than planning.
• Concerns over stalled public projects are growing, with nearly half of over 1,000 government projects reportedly stalled, requiring an estimated Sh1 trillion to complete.
