Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) has announced new fares for the revitalized Gilgil-Nyahururu Safari Train route, offering an affordable rail alternative connecting Nairobi to Nyahururu and over 20 other stations.

The cheapest economy class fare is Ksh50 for the Ol Kalou-Nyahururu route, with Nairobi to Nyahururu costing Ksh600 in economy and Ksh1,300 in first class.
The revived route revives essential passenger and freight services dormant since 1980 and links to the new Naivasha-Malaba Standard Gauge Railway (SGR).
Fares are structured across economy and first class, with short-distance trips from Nairobi to nearby stations available for Ksh80 in economy.
