Luanda MP Dick Maungu has been elected unopposed as the new chairperson of the National Assembly's Public Investments Committee on Education and Governance (PIC-E&G).

• Maungu takes over from Bumula MP Jack Wamboka, who was suspended over allegations of misconduct.
• The election took place during a committee meeting at Parliament Buildings on June 4, 2026.
• The PIC-E&G is a key parliamentary watchdog committee responsible for scrutinizing the use of public funds in state corporations and government agencies.
