The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan, has been suspended from duty over alleged sexual abuse claims made by a member of his office.

• Karim Khan was suspended by the 21-member bureau of the Assembly of State Parties (ASP).
• The 55-year-old British prosecutor denies the allegations and had already stepped aside effective May 2025.
• This suspension comes after he secured arrest warrants against Israeli officials, including Benjamin Netanyahu, over the Gaza war.
