  • The newly established scheme covers outpatient and inpatient care, specialized surgeries, cancer treatment, dialysis, dental, optical services, overseas referrals, and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).
  • Key figures involved include Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale and Cabinet Secretary for Public Service Geoffrey Ruku, alongside the Social Health Authority (SHA).
  • The SHA also launched a biometric registration exercise for dependents aged 7 to 17 years to enhance patient identification and data security.
