Primary school administrators are urging secondary school leaders to bolster learner support systems to prevent unrest, following a wave of disruptive incidents in senior institutions.

• The Kenya Comprehensive School Heads Association (KECSHA) advised implementing early warning systems and strengthening guidance, counselling, and communication channels.
• This call comes amid widespread condemnation of violence, arson, and vandalism in secondary schools, including a tragic incident at Utumishi Girls Academy.
• Fuad Abdalla Ali, the association's national chairperson, stressed that violent protests can never be justified, regardless of genuine grievances.
