The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has launched the Wild Scholars program, transforming national parks and wildlife sanctuaries into mental health safe spaces for students. This initiative aims to alleviate academic pressure by offering students opportunities for relaxation, learning, and mental wellness amidst rising school unrest.

• The program was officially unveiled on Sunday, June 14, with 400 students from Alliance Girls High School as the first beneficiaries.

• Students will benefit from discounted entry fees to parks, such as Ksh500 for premium parks like Amboseli and Ksh400 for Nairobi National Park, alongside other incentives for schools.
