A judicial decongestion exercise has led to the release of 28 inmates from Moyale GK Prison in Marsabit. The initiative aims to reduce overcrowding and improve access to justice for persons in custody.

• 28 inmates were granted parole or had their sentences reviewed.
• The exercise was conducted by a team of judicial officers led by Marsabit High Court Presiding Judge Justice Francis Rayola Olel and Senior Principal Magistrate Christine Mulongo.
• Many beneficiaries were foreign nationals convicted of unlawful presence, highlighting challenges faced by vulnerable inmates.
