An armed gang raided Chemelil Sugar Academy in Muhoroni, Kisumu County, on the morning of Thursday, June 18, injuring four staff members and stealing cash and mobile phones.

• Over 20 suspected goons attacked school staff and ransacked offices.
• The attackers stole approximately Ksh12,000 in cash and over 10 mobile phones.
• The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is involved, with police launching a manhunt and investigations into the motive, which may be linked to a dispute over the leasing of Chemelil Sugar Factory.
