Police in Siaya County have arrested one suspect and seized approximately 170 litres of illicit brew as part of ongoing operations. This action follows a tragic incident in Kirinyaga where five individuals died and others were hospitalized after consuming suspected counterfeit alcohol.

Seized items include 50 litres of Chang’aa, 120 litres of Kangara, and various manufacturing apparatus.
The operation was conducted by police from Yala Police Station in Marenyo Village.
The suspect is in custody and awaiting arraignment.
