The National Biosafety Authority (NBA) is launching a nationwide public awareness campaign starting July to combat misinformation and disinformation surrounding genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

• The campaign aims to educate Kenyans about the safety and regulation of GMOs.
• The NBA Director of Legal Services, Mr. Moses Sande, highlighted the success of previous campaigns like the one held in Kakamega County.
• Mr. Sande emphasized that GMOs have been in the global market for 30 years without observable negative effects, reassuring the public.
