The Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) will continue pursuing criminal charges against fifteen former police officers for abduction and other offenses, despite withdrawing murder charges.

• Fifteen former officers are accused in connection with the disappearance of two Indian nationals and their Kenyan driver in July 2022.
• The accused officers are linked to a disbanded DCI unit that operated under former Director-General George Kinoti.
• The murder charges were discontinued after the prosecution's attempt to consolidate cases was rejected by the High Court, but other charges will proceed at the Kahawa Law Courts.
