Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna is heading back to court to challenge a recent decision by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) National Executive Committee (NEC) to remove him as the party's Secretary General.

• Sifuna asserts the move is unlawful and mirrors a previous attempt already quashed by the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal (PPDT).
• The ODM NEC's decision was made a day after adopting a report from the party's Internal Disputes Resolution Committee (IDRC).
• In February, a similar ouster attempt was overturned by the PPDT, which found Sifuna had not been accorded a fair hearing.
