The Social Health Authority (SHA) has suspended services for MP Shah Hospital under its health insurance schemes effective June 23, as investigations into the facility are ongoing.

• MP Shah Hospital services under the Primary Healthcare Fund (PHCF), Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF), Emergency, Chronic and Critical Illness Fund (ECCIF), and Public Officers Medical Scheme Fund (POMSF) are suspended.
• The Social Health Authority (SHA), led by Chief Executive Officer Mercy Mwangangi, made the decision.
• This suspension is part of an intensified crackdown on healthcare fraud, following the shutdown of 12 other facilities in April.
