Victims of demonstrations whose rights were violated are urged to lodge claims for compensation with the Panel of Experts. The panel, chaired by Professor Makau Mutua, is processing claims to address historical injustices stemming from protests between 2013 and 2025.

• A total of Sh448.7 billion has been allocated for compensation.
• Payments include Sh3 million for families of deceased victims, Sh1 million for severe injuries, Sh500,000 for moderate injuries, and Sh50,000 for minor injuries.
• Professor Makau Mutua emphasized the process is claimant-driven and supports victims even with missing documentation, provided there is sufficient evidence.
