The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has issued a directive to halt the branding of taxpayer-funded projects with the names or images of serving public officials. This practice is deemed an abuse of office and a violation of constitutional principles.

• Governors and Members of County Assemblies (MCAs) are among those whose branding of public projects has drawn scrutiny.
• The EACC cited Articles 10, 73 and 75 of the Constitution, along with related Acts, as the basis for its advisory.
• The commission warned that failure to comply could lead to administrative or legal sanctions.
