The Ministry of Health has announced the deployment of 6,360 healthcare interns for the 2026/2027 internship programme, set to commence on July 1, 2026. This significant cohort will undertake their mandatory 12-month practical training across various healthcare facilities nationwide.

• A total of 6,360 interns will be posted, including 875 Medical Officers, 69 Dental Officers, 615 Pharmacy Officers, 2,000 Bachelor of Science Nursing Officers, 705 Bachelor of Science Clinical Officers, and 2,096 Diploma Clinical Officers.
• The announcement was made by Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale.
• Interns are required to collect their offer letters in person on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Afya House in Nairobi.
