The body of an unidentified woman, believed to have been raped elsewhere and then dumped, was discovered Saturday morning in Kisumu's Manyatta area, sparking shock among residents.

• The woman, thought to be in her 30s, was found naked in a corridor between a building and a laundry shop.
• Kisumu Central Sub-County Police Commander Edward Ndirangu stated preliminary investigations suggest she was killed elsewhere and dumped at the scene.
• The body was moved to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination and forensic analysis.
