Two men have been sentenced to a combined 70 years in prison by the Kibera Law Courts for robbery with violence and sexual assault. The conviction followed a successful prosecution by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).

• The convicts, Cleff Juma Mbaka and Mursal Kafe, received consecutive sentences of 30 years for robbery with violence, 20 years for gang rape, and 20 years for sexual assault.
• The victim was lured to Nairobi under false pretenses, robbed, drugged, and then sexually assaulted and gang-raped before being abandoned with severe injuries.
• Senior Principal Magistrate Irene Kahuya emphasized that the sentences reflect the gravity of the crimes and aim to deter future offenses.
