Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) has issued a clarification regarding the transferability and cancellation of Madaraka Express train tickets, addressing passenger confusion.

• All SGR tickets are strictly non-transferable and must be cancelled or rescheduled in person at a Madaraka Express station.
• Cancellations incur a 30% service fee, while rescheduling has a 10% fee, and both must be done at least 48 hours before departure to be eligible for any refund.
• Passengers must present their original ID used during booking, along with a photocopy, for processing cancellations or rescheduling.
