A farmer in Kapseret, Uasin Gishu County, is seeking the relocation of a giant python that has resided on his farm for 25 years after it began preying on livestock and venturing into his compound.

• The python, estimated to weigh around 70 kilos and measure at least five metres, has a history of consuming chickens, goats, and dogs.
• Jacob Chelemek, the farm owner and a former World Wildlife Fund for Nature employee, has requested the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) to move the snake.
• The snake's increased visits to the farm for water during the ongoing drought and its predation on neighbours' chickens have heightened fears of potential conflict, especially involving children.
