KenGen has significantly increased the value of contracts awarded to businesses owned by women, youth, and persons with disabilities (PWDs), surpassing its targets.

• KenGen awarded contracts worth Sh2.23 billion to these special groups, representing 87% of its procurement target for the year ended June 2025.
• The State-owned power producer, KenGen, also issued Sh10.01 billion in local content tenders.
• This marks a sharp improvement from the previous year, reflecting continued government efforts to expand opportunities under the Access to Government Procurement Opportunities (AGPO) framework.
