The Kenyan government is intensifying its efforts to evacuate citizens from South Africa due to an ongoing security situation. The first groups of repatriated Kenyans have begun arriving back home.

• Over 200 Kenyans have registered for evacuation so far.
• The Kenyan government, through the State Department for Diaspora Affairs and the Kenya High Commission in Pretoria, is managing the repatriation.
• The first batch of 26 Kenyans arrived on Tuesday, with more expected, and over 100 are currently taking shelter at the High Commission.
