Thirteen Italian agritech and food processing companies have visited Kenya to explore partnerships focusing on modernizing the agri-food value chain and reducing post-harvest losses.

An estimated 30 to 50 per cent of agricultural produce in Africa is lost post-harvest.
The companies are in Kenya as part of the Africa on the Road Project 2026, Nairobi Edition, organized by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA).
Italy's Ambassador to Kenya Vincenzo Del Monaco highlighted Africa, and specifically Kenya, as a region of significant potential for future growth and investment.
