A Grade 10 student from Kilifi County has won the 2026 National Senior School Essay Writing Competition on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention.

• Faith Munyazi Wugoma of Helping Hands Senior School was named the overall winner, triumphing over 1,153 participants nationwide.
• The competition was organized by the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA).
• The initiative aims to amplify youth voices and empower learners as agents of change in preventing substance abuse, aligning with the Competency-Based Curriculum and Life Skills Education.
